Go First, the troubled airline, has received the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) approval for its revival plan, marking a potential comeback for the airline. The plan, last amended on July 15, proposes the operation of 15 jets or 114 flights daily. However, the approval remains subject to the outcome of a pending petition before the Delhi High Court, as stated by the airline.

Go First has mentioned that it may resume flights once interim funding becomes available and the DGCA approves its flight schedule. The watchdog has directed the airline to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and conduct handling flights before actual deployment to ensure flight readiness.

A brief timeline of events shows that on May 2, the airline applied for voluntary insolvency, leading to a suspension of flights until May 4. The company then received a resolution professional on June 9. The RP presented Go First's resumption plan to the DGCA on June 28, followed by a two-day audit during July 4-6 to assess fitness and proposed arrangements for flight resumption.

As of now, the airline has suspended flights until July 23 due to operational reasons. Go First continues to address concerns and inconvenience caused to customers and remains optimistic about resuming flight operations once all requirements are met and funding is secured.
